Select multiple items that are adjacent: Click the first item, then press the Shift key and click the last item. To select ranges as multiple rectangular selections, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Click and drag the mouse over the desired parts of code. Select multiple items: Press and hold the Command key, then click the items (they don’t need to be next to each other). Alt+Click and drag the mouse to make the selection. On iOS 12, 13, and 14, you can use 3D Touch on iPhone models with the display technology to unlock the hidden trackpad, place your insertion point, and highlight text. You can also use Shift+Up Arrow and Shift+Down Arrow to select entire lines of text at a time. Option 4: Press the Keyboard to Highlight Words or Numbers. To select all using a keyboard shortcut, click in the document and then press Ctrl + A to select the entire document. On both Windows and macOS, Shift+Left Arrow and Shift+Right Arrow will select text to the left or right one character at a time. This makes it easy to manipulate elements from different groups without. Using keyboard shortcuts Shift + Ctrl (Windows) or Shift + Command (Mac), you can select multiple objects across groups to make bulk edits or reposition those elements on canvas. You actually dont have to click on the line itself. If you’re more comfortable using keyboard shortcuts to select text, you’ve got plenty of alternatives. Updating layers or objects across multiple groups is easily done in Adobe XD. You may find that after selecting the line hitting the E key to activate the Free Transform tool will make it less difficult to drag the line away, because with the Free Transform tool your cursor just needs to be inside the 'special' bounding box in order to be able to move the object.
